Focus Areas and Allocations

The Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation advances its mission through the support of high quality programs with a geographic focus in southern California and strategic partnerships throughout the United States and Israel. The Foundation holds itself to the highest of standards with a rigorous internal research and review process for grantmaking consideration. The Foundation accepts grant proposals by invitation only from nonprofit organizations with current tax-exempt status under IRS Code Section 501(c)3.  Grant recommendations are approved by Foundation trustees, Board of Directors and Junior Board of Advisors twice a year and applicants are notified immediately after the board determinations.

Since its founding in 2000, the Foundation's activities have focused primarily in the areas of education, policy research, arts and culture, Jewish causes, Iranian causes, and general social causes.
